Toshiba is expanding integrated Mobile Broadband into its consumer notebook range and the NB100 and Satellite A350 are the first two to have embedded mobile broadband. The updated NB100 and A350 gets embedded support for HSPA wireless broadband offering data rates of up to 7.2 Mbps in the downlink and up to 2.0 Mbps in the uplink. They will be available throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa in Q1 2009. Toshiba’s NB100 is the company’s netbook model based on Atom 1.6Ghz processor. It has 1GB of memory and a 8.9-inch display. Toshiba Satellite A350 series is powered by Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of RAM and up to 320GB hard drive. It has either integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 graphics.
Asus Eee PC 1000HE Reviewed
Asus Eee PC 1000HE is the latest model of the Eee PC netbook series. The 1000HE is powered by an Atom N280 1.66GHz processor, 1GB of memory, Intel GD40 graphics and a 160GB hard drive. It includes WiFi and a 10-inch LCD display. The Eee PC 1000HE offers up to 9.5 hours of battery life.

Glacier Computer unveiled its new Everest E4000 ultra rugged tablet PC, which is designed to withstand all sorts of punishment inflicted by harsh working conditions.
Glacier Everest E4000 is powered by an Intel Pentium M 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB SSD for storage. It is available in 10-inch, 12-inch and 15-inch version and the 15-inch version has a 1024×768 display and supports 802.11a/g/b. The E4000 runs Windows XP Professional, XP Embedded or Linux.
The price ranges from $2500 to $4500.
