Seagate Pulsar – it’s first Solid State Drive
The Seagate Pulsar uses SATA 3Gb/s interface. It delivers a a peak performance of up to 30,000 read IOPS and 25,000 write IOPS, 240MB/s sequential read and 200 MB/s sequential write speeds.
To ensure optimal radio coexistence between WLAN and Bluetooth, the RT3090BC4 combo solution incorporates a sophisticated coexistence algorithm for improved harmony between co-located WLAN and Bluetooth radios. It dynamically adjusts WLAN and Bluetooth transmissions to reduce interference, and it responds automatically to the presence and operating characteristics of nearby Wi-Fi Access Points. This results in 80 percent faster WLAN throughput compared to competing WLAN plus Bluetooth combo devices for PCs.
Super Talent announced the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 RAIDDrive, which the company’s first USB 3.0 RAIDDriveand the world’s first USB 3.0 flash drive. The USB 3.0 RAIDDrive is available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities and offers up to 320MB/s transfer speeds.

Boston-based startup, Litl introduces the Webbook, an Internet computer for the home that offers a simple way for everyone in the family to enjoy online photos and all the web has to offer. The Litl Webbook sports an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor and a graphics chip that accelerates H.264 video and provides 720p output via HDMI port. It has a 12-inch LCD display. The Webbook runs Litl’s web-oriented OS and offers the “easel” viewing mode for accessing popular websites and RSS feeds. It has an easy-to-use interface and includes several proprietary channels developed by the team that transform content from Flickr, Shutterfly, and Facebook in new and exciting ways. There is also The Weather Channel that visually displays local weather conditions and 5-day forecasts. The Litl Webbook is priced at $699.
Stealth introduces a new LittlePC, the LPC-395F fanless mini PC. Based on Atom processor, the LPC-395F has a rugged aluminum light-weight chassis. It has front loaded removable media slots for both Hard Drive and Compact Flash cards. Stealth LPC-395F is boosted by Intel’s 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, up to 2GB of memory, and built-in GMA 950 graphics. It has rooms for a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive and a CompactFlash memory card. The mini PC has dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and optional WiFi 802.11g module. SSD drives are available as options. The Stealth LPC-395F fanless PC starts at $795.
Atheros announced the AR6003 WiFi 802.11n chipset, which utilizes the superior mobile WLAN throughput, range and energy efficiency of the ROCm technology and Atheros’ Align 1-stream 11n technology. The AR6003 delivers actual end-user throughput up to four times that of mobile WLAN solutions based on 11g. With its 11n capabilities, the AR6003 achieves up to 48Mbps TCP/IP in the 2.4 GHz band in 20 MHz mode, and an unprecedented 85Mbps TCP/IP in 5 GHz in 40 MHz mode. HP presents the new Pavilion dv8-1000 entertainment notebook PC in the UK. The Windows 7-packing notebook is boosted by Intel’s Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM (Max 8GB) and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M graphisc card. It packs a 640GB 7200RPM hard drive and a Blu-ray/DVD combo drive with Lightscribe. HP’s Pavilion dv8-1000 comes with a 18.4-inch 1080p Full HD LCD display. It supports WiFi 802.11a/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity. You can expect a 5-in-1 card reader, fingerprint reader, built-in webcam, Altec Lansing speakers with integrated subwoofer and with Dolby Home Theater, a FireWire port, an ExpressCard/54 slot, integrated numeric keypad and a HP Mobile ScrollSmart remote control The HP Pavilion dv8-1000 is priced at GBP1300.
BFG Tech announces Deimos X-10 gaming notebook that can be equipped with two NVIDIA GeForce GTX280M graphics card with 1GB video memory. The gaming laptop has a 18.4-inch 1920×1080 Full HD LCD display. It supports Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity and comes with integrated TV tuner.
Three models are available. The Deimos X-10 Performance gets Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53GHz processor, 4GB RAM and dual 320GB hard drive in RAID 0. The Deimos X-10 Advanced boasts an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 2GHz processor, 8GB DDR3 memory and dual 500GB hard drive in RAID 0. Lastly the Deimos X-10 Elite sports an Core 2 Extreme QX9300 2.53GHz processor, 8GB RAM and two 320GB HDD in RAID 0.
The Deimos X-10 series notebooks all have a 2 Megapixel webcam, a 7-in-1 card reader, eSTAT port, and HDMI port. They are equipped with five speakers and a sub-woofer, and support Dolby surround sound. Windows 7 is pre-loaded. BFG Tech Deimos X-10 starts at $1859.
MSI officially announced two new nettop PCs, the Wind Box DE200 and the Wind Box DC200. Both of them are powered by Intel’s Atom 230 processor, like Acer’s AspireRevo R3600, and 1GB of memory. The Wind Box DE200 gets an ATI Radeon HD 4350 graphics card with HDMI port while the onboard GMA950 graphics. They have a 160GB hard drive and a 6-in-1 memory card reader. WiFi 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity is included. The MSI Wind Box DE200 is available from Amazon for $299.99 and Wind Box DC200 for $249.
Super Talent launches its new line Performance Series DDR3 and Speed Series DDR3 4GB dual channel DDR3 kits for Core i5 and Core i7 systems based on Intel’s P55. There are in total nine kits and are available in speeds ranging from DDR3-1600 to DDR3-2200.

Samsung introduces the SH-B083 COMBO, its first internal Blu-ray Disc Combo drive. The SH-B083 is able to read BD-R and BD-ROM at up to 8X speeds. It is also a CD/DVD burner that writes DVD+/-R/RW/R DL at up to 12X, DVD-RAM at 5X and CD-R/RW at 40X.
The Samsung SH-B083 COMBO reads DVD at 16X and CD at 40X. It uses SATA interface and has 2MB buffer memory. It includes the SuperLink Buffer Underrun Protection. The combo drive comes with Cyberlink TrueTheater software and will be available in November.
