Seagate Pulsar – it’s first Solid State Drive

Finally, Seagate announced its first solid state drive, the Pulsar, which is targeted at enterprise blade and general server applications instead of consumer market. The 2.5-inch Pulsar is based on single-level cell (SLC) technology and offers up to 200GB capacity.
The Seagate Pulsar uses SATA 3Gb/s interface. It delivers a a peak performance of up to 30,000 read IOPS and 25,000 write IOPS, 240MB/s sequential read and 200 MB/s sequential write speeds.
